The Netflix series ‘Top Boy’ is responsible for introducing people all over the world to the trials and tribulations of growing up in inner-city London. It’s name suggest that it’s a series entirely based on the journey of men, but in actuality, Top Boy’s cast features some outstanding actresses who help to push the story forward with every scene.
Adwoa Aboah and Saffron Hocking really meant business! To quote Adwoa, “the characters are multi-faceted, they’re not just a woman plopped into a man’s world, they have their own opinions and ways of dealing with things”. Both actresses play a refreshing and necessary part in making this show the success it has become and when you listen to them speak, it quickly becomes clear how invested they were in achieving that goal.
