It would be an understatement to say that Amazon Prime’s series ‘THEM’ is an unsettling series to watch. Racism and horror, are enough to trigger a reaction from anyone on their own, but seeing them both intertwined like this is another story…
Naturally you would think that the mind behind a series like this would be just as disturbed as his creation but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Executive Producer Little Marvin is a breath of fresh air. He’s charming, thoughtful and takes the deep subject matters he explores seriously. Whilst I wouldn’t recommend the series for everyone due to its triggering nature, I would highly recommend that everyone listens to what Little Marvin has to say in the interview about the importance of Black and LGBTQIA+ stories and storytellers in Hollywood. There’s a lot of knowledge to be gained!
